Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra

The Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra (HKCO) is the premier professional Chinese orchestra in Hong Kong, established in 1977. Based at the Sheung Wan Civic Centre, the Orchestra promotes and develops Chinese orchestral music by presenting a diverse repertoire ranging from traditional Chinese classics to innovative contemporary compositions. The Orchestra also conducts extensive educational outreach programmes to nurture young musicians and cultivate public appreciation for Chinese instrumental music.
