About Hong Kong Museum of Art
The Hong Kong Museum of Art (HKMoA) is the city premier art museum, situated on the iconic Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront overlooking Victoria Harbour. Managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), the museum reopened in November 2019 following an extensive revitalisation. HKMoA houses a permanent collection of over 17,000 artworks spanning Chinese fine art, historical pictures, Chinese antiquities, and contemporary Hong Kong art. The museum galleries present the development of Chinese art and Hong Kong unique cultural identity, with dedicated spaces for Chinese calligraphy, ceramics, jade, bronzes, and modern works. HKMoA presents a dynamic programme of temporary exhibitions featuring internationally renowned artists and collections throughout the year. The revamped waterfront promenade provides additional event spaces and scenic harbour views. Accessible via Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station and the Star Ferry.
