The Evangelical Lutheran Church

The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hong Kong (ELCHK) was founded in 1954 as a registered charity and company limited by guarantee. Following the commands of the Lord Jesus Christ, ELCHK's mission encompasses proclaiming the gospel, administering the sacraments, edifying and nurturing believers, and serving the wider community. The church establishes congregations across Hong Kong's districts, operates a comprehensive network of kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, and provides extensive social services throughout the territory. ELCHK's head office is located in Kowloon, with its educational and social service arms reaching across Hong Kong. The church also engages in overseas missions and publishes resources to support congregations and clergy. A cornerstone of Hong Kong's religious community, ELCHK has served the city for over seven decades, blending spiritual ministry with practical community support.
